Eithne provides one to one counselling in the Belfast area (just off the Lisburn Road and across from Queens University). She is also available evenings and weekends because she appreciates how difficult it can be to take time off work.
A safe, warm and confidential environment is provided where clients are greeted in a a non-judgemental way, where they can explore issues impacting on them and work towards regaining their normal functionality. A free private car parking space is also available during the session. A variety of approaches, techniques and tools, namely CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness, Integrative and Person Centred therapy. Eithne has counselled clients for many years and from all age groups and backgrounds, including their family and friends impacted by those issues, namely

Eithne also have a vast amount of experience working with young people and children and have worked with Childline and undertaken Child Protection training.
We offer an initial 15 minute free introduction to explain the merits of CBT, Mindfulness and Personal Therapy, allowing too the opportunity to meet without any obligation or commitment.
What to expect in the first session
This will be spent on an Assessment which is a very insightful tool in focusing on the presenting issues and in many cases, highlighting concerns you may not have previously rèalised or acknowledged. Former clients have found it a very enlightening experience which also enables them to identify further goals they wish to achieve.
For Students, required personal therapy is offerred at a reduced rate.
Training, qualifications & experience
Eithne is a member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) and on the BACP Register. She has her own professional indemnity insurance and holds a University of Ulster Dip-HE in Integrative Counselling (with commendation) and a University of Derby Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She also hold a Professional Certificate in the Therapeutic use of Mindfulness and have completed training in anxiety, bereavement, trauma, anger management, child protection etc. She has previously worked with addiction and cancer agencies and currently work both privately and for the Belfast Trust in Primary Care.
